Seducing the Bowerbird is a wonderful collection of jewellery by Kyoko Hashimoto, who graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Sydney, but is currently living and working in The Netherlands. Some facts about the Bowerbird:
'the Bowerbird is an unusual bird native to Australia. The male of the species spends 9 months a year building and designing a bower nest, a collection of twigs, branches and striking colored objects such as shells, flowers, feathers, berries, and even discarded plastic pegs and straws. The bird works for hours everyday, carefully sorting and rearranging the collection with each object in a specific place. No two bowers are the same - the collection of objects reflect the personal taste of each bird and its ability to procure rare and unusual items.'

Kyoko wants her designs 'to be fun and whimsical- something that could be worn everyday.' I couldn't agree more!
Flip through the lookbook, read Kyoko's blog filled with eye candy or send her an e-mail for more information on how and where to purchase her magnificent pieces.
