OK... BANDWIDTH THIEVES
10 January, 2008 | leave a message (11) | link to this post
Today, I got a bill from my provider where I have been hosting my websites since 2002 {great service + a nice e-mail on my birthday. every single year}...
It turned out that the bandwidth/traffic for siagrafica from October-January was over 115 GB... that ain't cool.
So I did a little investigating... I discovered that some blogs were {/ are} ripping images from my weblog - that would explain the huge bandwidth/traffic... eventually I got so *&^% off that I altered one image, but kept the file name:
{focus: anonymous european design blog}
Do you, bloggers-with-a-lot-of-nice-images-to-display have any tips and tricks on managing your bandwidth/traffic? I was thinking about getting myself a pro account at flickr... in order to store all my blog images...
{sigh. silly me - with the design blog and the fancy url.}
EDIT: with 'ripping images from my weblog' I meant: copying URL of an image stored on my hosting account {that would be siagrafica.nl/siagrafica.com} and pasting this URL in their own blog post...
{A flickr pro account is on its way... and here is more information on bandwidth thieves}
